Abstract
347,458. Kinematograph apparatus. SIEMENS & HALSKE AKT.-GES., Siemensstadt, Berlin.-(Assignees of Projector Ges.; 28, Wilhelmstrasse, Berlin.) April 9, 1930, No. 11327. Convention date, April 10, 1929. [Class 97 (i).] The film is intermittently fed by periodically applying to it pressure which acts on at least two points within the loop between the gate and takeup sprocket so as to enlarge the loop. As shown, pressure is applied to the film 2 by means of rollers 10a, 11, carried by discs 6, 7, geared together by wheels 8, 9, so that the disc 6 rotates at twice the speed of the disc 7; feeding is effected at each complete revolution of the disc 7, and occupies a relatively short time. A second roller 10b may be provided on the disc 6, additional discs 13, 14, Fig. 6, may be provided to support the rollers, and a counterweight 12 may be provided on the disc 7. A roller 17 carried by a lever 18 may engage the loop for film centring.
