Abstract

Sterols such as cholesterol, or derivatives thereof, actuated by irradiation, are employed in admixture with suitable carriers such as alcohol or a cream base as tonic preparations for the hair. Examples refer to 0,1-0,5 per cent of irradiated cholesterol incorporated in a cream or salve base and dissolved in alcohol respectively. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 296,093 and 316,803, [both in Class 1 (i), Chemical processes &c.].
