Abstract

A moulding composition for use in making e.g. swash plates for water meters of the disc engine type is composed of finely divided mica (80 mesh or less) and a phenolic resinoid binder which may be incorporated in a dissolved state, the solvent being then driven off. Other fillers such as asbestos, wood flour, cotton flock, &c. may be added. Specification 203,232, [Class 70, Indiarubber &c.], is referred to.
