Abstract
345,292. Liquid level indicators. SCHLAICH, H., 5, Eschborner Landstrasse, Frankfort-on-Main, Germany. Dec. 11, 1929, No. 38039. Convention date, Dec. 20, 1928. [Class 123 (i).] According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) a single indicating instrument may be connected at will to actuating instruments responsive to thermal conditions in the cooling system of an internalcombustion engine to changes of oil level in the crankcase and to changes of level in the fuel tank respectively. In Fig. 9 (Cancelled), the indicating instrument B is connected by leads 68, 70 to contacts 67, 69, 78, 84. The actuating instrument 60 responsive to thermal conditions in the cooling system is connected by a lead 65 to the annular contact 66 which is mounted on an insulating member 72 and normally pressed against the contacts 67, 69 by a spring 74. The fuel level instrument 61 and oil level instrument 63 are connected to contacts 77, 83 lying over the contacts 78, 84 respectively, the latter being mounted on the member 72. Operation of the press button 73 is adapted to open contacts 66, 67 and close contacts 77, 78. Similarly operation of the press button 81 opens contacts 66, 67 and closes contacts 83, 84. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
