Abstract

343,928. Coil - winding machines. POSTLACK, R., 16, Schlosstrasse, Steglitz, and ZETLAND, M., 18, Budapesterstrasse, both in Berlin. Nov. 25, 1929, No. 36066. [Class 120 (ii).] In a machine for winding arcuate bobbins, particularly bobbins or core segments of inductance coils, a rotating shaft H has fastened to it a discshaped carrier G on which are fixed one or more pins L carrying reels J of wire. Each pin L has a coned collar L1 against which a loose coned ring M is pressed by a spring N. A disc O, engaging the reel J by a pin O1, is connected to the ring M by means of a spiral spring P, so that tension is applied to the wire by the friction between the ring M and the collar L1. The wire K1 runs through an eye in a guide Q, adjustable on the carrier G, to the arcuate bobbin C to be wound. This is clamped on an arcuate mandrel R between a pin R1 and an adjustable flange R2. The mandrel R is carried by a swinging arm S having a handle Sl and carrying a slide S2 which moves in an arcuate guide T mounted on a movable table U. The bobbin may thus be adjusted so that the plane of each turn as it is wound is at right-angles to the axis of the shaft H. The carrier G or the table U may be mounted on a rotating or traversing part of a lathe, milling machine, or other machine tool.
