Abstract

[Class 65 (ii).] In making oscillatory bearings of the kind in which two bushes are separated by resilient material such as rubber, the material 1 is placed between the bushes 2, 3 under slight compression and then either the outer bush is compressed in a die or the inner bush expanded to produce high radial compression. The outer bush may finally be given a double-cone shape as shown.
