Abstract

342,853. Opening lever-top tins. GOLD, R. E., Lansdown, Newton, Mumbles, Swansea. Dec. 31, 1929, No. 39812. [Classes 66 and 125 (iii).] The flange 7 of the lever lid 5 of a paint, syrup or like tin is fitted with a small bent lever 6 pivotally attached thereto. The lever normally lies under the flange 7, and, when in use, is moved into the position shown and used to lever the lid upwards. A knob 8 prevents withdrawal. The lever may be bent at both ends, and may be formed at the free end with a sharp edge for cutting tagger insets.
