Abstract

342,401. Transmission systems. SIEMENS-SCHUCKERTWERKE AKT.- GES., Siemensstadt, Berlin. Nov. 11, 1929, No. 34428. Convention date, Nov. 12, 1928. [Class 38 (iv).] Regulation, automatic ; feeder and transmission line arrangements. -Upon the occurrence of sudden increases in potential in a long transmission line which is provided with automatic voltage compensating apparatus under the control of a step-by-step time-delayed device responsive to line voltage, all the compensating apparatus, for example inductances 31 .. 33, are immediately switched in and subsequently left under the control of the step-by-step device. The regulating apparatus 35 may be mechanically connected as shown with the relay 37 which operates with excess voltage to switch in all the inductances. The operation may be directly effected by the cause of excess voltage e.g. by the load variation or from a switch connecting a consumers load.
