Abstract
338,253. Hoover, Ltd., (Hoover Co.). Sept. 6, 1929. Filter paper; paper, treating with special materials.-Dust bags for suction cleaners comprise sheets of fibrous material, e.g. porous paper formed from pure manilla hemp fibre, strengthened by the application of resin and a plasticiser. Preferably synthetic resin such as vinyl resin is dissolved in ethylene dichloride or other suitable solvent and dibutyl phthalate is used as a plasticiser. The paper may be treated before the formation into filter bags, or the bags may be treated after formation.
