Expanding-frame implements; adjusting parts; combinations of tools.-A manually-operated expanding cultivator comprises a central member 12 provided with a series of openings 16, a rigid tooth 23 at its forward end and another tooth 25 at its rear end, a cross-plate 13 near its forward end, an adjustable cross-plate 18 provided with means for engaging the openings in the central member 12, arms 11 pivoted to the ends of the first cross-plate 13, bars 19, 20 pivotally connecting the arms 11 and the second cross-plate 18, brackets secured to the forward cross-plate 13, a wheel and handle 15, and means for securing the wheel and handle to the brackets. Each side arm 11 carries a number of integral or removable cultivating teeth 21, and may also carry a hoe 22. The teeth 23, 25 may be braced.
