Luggage racks.- Luggage carriers and racks which conform to the shape of the roof and extend practically the full length of a vehicle body have their outer ends closed to form ventilation chamber.;, the racks may be hinged about their outer edges and their undersides may be covered with painted or polished aluminium or other sheeting to act as reflectors. The outer ends of the racks 2 are closed by inclined boards 11 forming air channels 8 which communicate with the bus interior through gauze covered apertures 13 and with the outer air through inlets or outlets 14. The inner edges of the racks are supported from the vehicle roof by hinged brackets 4 and the racks are stiffened by transverse ribs 15.
