Abstract

335,957. Roe, Sir A. Verdon-, and Saunders-Roe, Ltd. June 1, 1929. Stud - and - slot fastenings.-A turnbutton a rotating in a support e has a head b passed through a slot in a member f and also a spring j which is compressed by movement of the member f when the head is rotated. The slot may be made in a plate m secured to the member f and provided with parallel ribs p to receive the head b which has chamfered edges. The button mav be made from sheet metal, single or folded, and secured by a split pin g or by bending the ends of the folded limbs. The spring may be mounted between flanged washers k, l. The bearing in the support e may be enlarged to allow slight lateral movement of the turnbutton for curved members.
