Abstract

334,571. Fenner & Co., Ltd., J. H., and Hainsworth, S. B. May 8, 1929. Multiple fabrics for belting and band conveyers have selvedges wherein two or more selvedge cords or braids 7 are engaged by and interwoven with the weft 4 of two or more plies, whereby the cords &c. 7 are formed into loops 7<c>, 7<d>, 7<f>, 7<e> which are interlocked by a lacing 8. This lacing completely covers the weft 4. In the example shown, there is one outer weft 4 for each pair of inner wefts 1, and alternate wefts 4a of the wefts 4 form the upper cord &c. 7 into loops 7<c>, 7<d>, whilst the other wefts 4<b> form the lower cord into loops 7<e>, 7<f>.
