Delivery and associating apparatus.- Tubular-plate printing-presses, such as are described in Specification 19824/07 and constructed with a folding - mechanism comprising a former F, rollers B, and rotary folders adjacent one end of the press to produce book fold papers from perfected doublewidth webs w<1>, w<2>, w<3> - - w<6> led in a straight line from the press direct to the former F, are constructed with an additional former F<1> bv means of which can be produced papers folded in sections. The machine shown in Fig. 1 comprises three superposed perfecting-couples I, P, each printing-cylinder P being fitted with two tubular plates of single page width, for printing the webs w<2>, w<4>, w<6>, and three similar perfecting- couples not shown are also provided for the webs w<1>, w<3>, w<5>. To produce a book fold paper all the webs are led over rollers A to the former F, and folded by the rotary folders. To fold the papers in sections, the webs w<1>, w<2>, w<3> are led directly to the rollers A, and the webs w<4>, w<5>, w<6>, are led by means of angle bars 2, 3, 4 at right angles to their original direction, and then by other angle bars 2<a>, 3<a>, 4<a> parallel to this direction to rollers A<1> of the former F<1>, and after being folded longitudinally are led from rollers B' to the rollers B where they are associated with the longitudinally folded webs w<1>, w<2>, w<3> to be folded transversely simultaneously therewith, one within another. The rollers A, A<1> and B, B<1> are driven in unison from common drive-shafts.
