Abstract

Cleaning internally, non-rotary appliances for. -The brush consists of spring steel elements 1, Fig. 1, fixed between discs 2, mounted on a tubular body 3, and separated by spiral springs 4. On each end of the tubular body 3 a nut 5 is screwed. A chain 17 extends through the nuts 5 and body 3. A thimble 6, in the eye of which a core is attached, has a cavity 8, Fig. 2, to receive a chain link 9 which is secured by a cross pin 10 locked by spring and base 12. The pin can readily be released by a nail and the brush elements removed or added to. A ball 15 is used on the lower end of the brush so that when it and the thimble 6 alternately strike the nut 5, the threads, in which suitable clearance is allowed, cannot bind.
