Discharging a n d feeding devices for endless - rope conveyers.-In a newspaper conveyer system in which successive sections A, B are not in alignment, newspapers are transferred from one section to the other and at the same time turned out of the line of the first section into that of the second, by a series of rotating rollers 5, 5a mounted on a shaft 4 of which the rollers 5 are of the same diameter as the driving pulleys of the conveyer and the roller 5<a> is of greater diameter and has a number of sharp needles protruding from its periphery. The needles' may be replaced by rubber friction pads or suckers. The shaft 4 is driven by a prime mover and drives the shaft 1 of section A and the shaft 2 of section B through chain-andsprocket gearing 6.
