Folding vehicles convertible into buildings. - A collapsable and transportable shelter or structure, adapted to form a single enlarged chamber when opened out, comprises a framework a, b mounted on wheels b, a fixed roof c, folding side roofs d forming sides to the structure when collapsed, folding or collapsable side panels f, g which support, and are carried by, the roofs d in the open position, means for securing the folding portions in their various positions and means for .accommodating loose parts inside the structure. The vertical supporting members b of the framework in the preferred form are rigidly connected together by a fixed or detachable platform, adapted to be raised to the roof c if desired. Doors o and windows p may be provided and hinged struts for giving rigidity to the superstructure a. A worm jack may be used for raising the wheels b<1> clear on uneven ground. The structure may be utilized as a hangar for aeroplanes.
