Junction boxes for use with electrical installations having a plurality of both high and low tension services comprise within the chamber G a plurality of internal castings or core-members Q, E1, R providing separate and distinct transverse channels communicating with apertures in the walls of the chamber. The right-hand coremembers are formed with flanges E2, R2, dividing the chamber G into two compartments G1, G2, housing respectively low tension (telephone, bell &c.) leads from conduits H1, J1, L1, and high tension (lighting, heating, power) leads from conduits M1, N1, O1. The left-hand core-member Q has three ducts on its under face, but only one broad one on the upper face.
