Winding webs.-A spool for paper, celluloid &c. strips of sensitive material, used for example in photographic cameras, of the kind comprising a spindle 7 having a pair of end discs 8, 9, and a cylindrical sleeve 6 rotatably mounted on the spindle and provided with means for securing the end of the strip, is characterized in that the spindle 7 and sleeve 6 are interlocked by the winding-key when this is inserted, so that they may be rotated as a unit. The sensitive strip may be secured to the sleeve by passing its end through parallel longitudinal slots 4, 5, in the sleeve, or by causing slots in the end of the strip to engage with upset tongues on the sleeve. One or both of the discs 8, 9, may be notched at 10 to receive the winding-key, and the sleeve 6 may have slots 11 or inturned projections to engage the key.
