Condensers.-A condenser utilizing a number of dielectric substances incorporated so that the condenser has a desired small temperature-coefficient for capacity has gum-mastic as one of the substances. Resin may also be added. One method of utilization comprises coating the foilplates with gum-mastic and the dielectric sheets with paraffin wax. Paper dielectric sheets may be soaked in a mixture incorporating gum-mastic and paraffin. Another coating mixture may comprise paraffin-wax, gum-mastic and resin in which the mastic comprises 7-15 per cent of the total when used with paper dielectric and 5-10 per cent when used with mica dielectric or in which the mastic comprises 3-12 per cent and resin 2-10 per cent of the total.
