Abstract

330,033. Bancroft, F. E., and Associated Electrical Industries, Ltd. March 21, 1929. Plug couplings.-A socket member 1 is rendered resilient by slits 5, 8, 9 extending alternately from opposite ends of the member 1 which is of cylindrical shape and is continuous all round the circumference. The socket 1 shown may be formed in one with a supporting lug 2 the slits 8, 9 dividing also the lug at 10, 11. If the socket is made separate it may be attached to the lug 2 by a screw having an elongated head extending across the socket and engaging a washer shaped to fit the inner surface of the socket. The socket may be secured to a base plate as described in Specification 331,251. According to the Provisional Specification the construction may be applied to a plug.
