Pumps, syringes, and like appliances.-An air cushion 1 adapted for use as a surgical irrigator is so arranged that, on consumption of the liquid contained in the compartment 9, Fig. 1, the partition 4, peripherally attached to the bottom 2 collapses, thus making room for the reception of the used liquid in the basin formed by the cushion 1 and the bottom. A funnel-shaped orifice 3 is provided for filling and a hose or syringe 6 for rinsing purposes. Fig. 5 shows a modification in which the partition is connected partly to the cushion and partly to the bottom.
