327,849. Patrick, F. April 2, 1929. Driving-gear for wringers. -The upper roller shaft A is driven from the handwheel K through reduction gear C, B, the spur wheel C of which is secured to the handwheel shaft D separate from the lower roller shaft J which is driven from the upper roller shaft and which rotates in fixed bearings. The bearings E, E<1> of the shaft D and the bearings F, F' of the upper roller shaft are carried in a casing L, which may be filled with oil and which, by a pin-and-slot connection G, H, can move vertically relatively to the machine frame to permit movement of the upper roller towards and away from the lower roller.
