Systems for transmitting music. - Two large-- diaphragm type loud-speakers 6 and 8 are worked in parallel from the same supply, the input affecting high-frequency notes being suppressed in one of the speakers to produce uniform volume at all frequencies. The input transformer to the speaker 8 has its primary shunted by the eondenser 9 which tends to out down the output. of notes of frequencies of above 800 cycles. A shunt may be connected in series with the primary winding instead of using the condenser,. or the shunt and condenser may be used together. The cone of speaker 6 is strengthened with Bristol board or aluminium foil to increase the output at high frequencies. Specifications 248,433 and 294,285 are referred to.
