Abstract
326,950. Clare, F. Feb. 9, 1929. Cooling lubricant. - The lubricating oil of an internal combustion engine for a motor vehicle flows from the engine sump through a cooler adapted to be secured to the footboard of the vehicle and consisting of a casing a divided by partitions d having apertures d<2> at their ends into superposed compartments containing open-ended air-cooled tubes e. The oil flows in a zig-zag path through the compartments from an inlet g<2> to an outlet h<2>.
