Abstract
326,158. Tucker, F. C. Sept. 5,1928. Swivelling couplings. - Multicore cables are connected to allow relative rotation by means of terminal members positively held together and carrying on their faces conductors that are resiliently urged into contact. A disc B carrying contacts b in the form of a central disc and concentric rings, is held in engagement with a similar disc B<1> carrying contacts b<1> in the form of a - central helical spring and resilient brushes, Fig. 7, arranged in grooves corresponding to the rings b. Cups C. C<1> of metal or insulation enclose the discs B, B' and are connected by a ring D that allows one cup to rotate relatively to the other. The cables A, A<1> are connected to the cups by wedging clamps.
