Abstract
326,029. Schwaller, R. A. March 15, 1929. Motors operated by the force of expansion or contraction of liquids by heat or cold. - Relates to motors of the type described in Specification 307,349 in which a volume of liquid b when heated expands and actuates a piston d of a differential system which causes rotation of the crank-shaft m. The liquid b works in a closed circuit comprising the heating chamber a, cooler g, tank r and pump p. The liquid is heated by a jacket a<1> which may be electrically heated, and the valves n. n<1> are opened pericdically to replace the heated liquid by cooled liquid.
