Abstract

Pressure-regulating valves. - A diaphragmactuated reducing-valve has the valve member guided in a fixed tubular guide so as to be capable for limited universal movement. The actuating- diaphragm 3, which is adjustably loaded by a spring 5, is clamped against a triangular rib 24 in the casing by a screwed cap 2 engaging a washer 25, and is secured to the valve spindle 12 by a pair of nuts 13, 14. The valve handle is slotted to pass round the detachable inlet 8 and carries the valve member 16 provided with a spherical face 22 engaging a tubular guide member 17 screwed to the casing. A renewable valve face 27 is carried by a member 26 screwed into the valve member and secured by a grub screw 28, to which access may be had by removing the safety valve 29.
