Abstract

323,239. Featherstone, R. W., and World's Parent Trading Association, Ltd. Sept. 27, 1928. Cabinets.-A cabinet for gramophones &c. is built up of sheet material, such as plywood, and in one side is an opening to which is fitted a frame carrying doors, a sheet perforated for sound-openings &c. In the construction shown the sides 12 - - 15 and the bottom are fitted into slots in the top frame 16 and legs 10, corners of the bottom being cut off to fit the slots in the legs. The sides and legs may be secured by keys. In the side 12 is a square opening into which is fitted a frame 17 carrying an openwork sheet 29 covered with gauze 30. A flange 18 on the frame 17 prevents it from passing through the opening and it is further secured by slips 20 of plywood fitting into grooves in its edges. The frame 18 may be of wood, as shown, or of sheet metal. In the cabinet is arranged a frame 22, 23, 24 carrying a partition 21. One side 22 of the frame is attached to one of the slips 20, or the slip may be replaced by a projection on the side 22. A ledge 28 fits into slots in the legs and, with the top 23 of the partition and the frame 17, supports the.motor board of the gramophone.
