Abstract

323,068. Halliday, T. E. Oct. 17, 1928. Chimney and ventilating- shaft terminals comprise a tube a, which is provided with an outwardlyflared lower end c and is disposed above and in line with the chimney &c. shaft, and a concave baffle plate d disposed within the flared portion c of the tube a and above the mouth of the shaft. The plate d and tube a are supported in the shaft b by means of stays e having downwardly projecting legs e'. The Provisional Specification describes also the baffle plate d as being in the form of an inverted cone or other suitable shape.
