Abstract

Egg-poachers.-An egg-poacher of the kind comprising short tubular members which are slidable on an upright and are normally spring-pressed into contact with a base to form containers, is characterized by the base being perforated. As shown in Fig. 1, the base 5 is of sheet metal and has a. strengthening flange 5<a>. The upright 7 is soldered or otherwise secured to the base, and is preferably made of square or angular crosssection so as to prevent relative rotation of the tubular members 9 which are carried by a correspondingly bared sleeve 8. A spring 12 is interposed between a loop 7a and an abutment 11 on the sleeve 8 which is also provided with curved arms 11<a> to facilitate the lifting of the members 9. The base 5 is perforated at 5b between the members 9, to permit the circulation of the water.
