321,311. Ascot Motor & Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and Pullin, C. G. Oct. 23, 1928. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Bodies; side-cars.-In a vehicle body such as a motor vehicle or side-car of the kind having a recess closed by a cover to form a compartment enclosing part of a wheel the wheel is supported solely upon the sides of the compartment and the use of an axle passing from side to side of the body is thereby avoided. The recess 2 is formed in the side of the body 3 and is provided with a cover plate 8 and the wheel spindle 6 is supported by spring suspensions 7 from the sides of the compartment. The cover may be welded in position in which case the wheel is withdrawable by removing the spindle 6 axially. The cover 8 may be shaped to form part of the wheel compartment with a shallow recess in the body side.
