Abstract
318,927. Lundin, K. A. E. Sept. 12, 1928, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Illumination, controlling. -A sign mounbed on or near a door is illuminated by the action of turning the door handle. The bolt 7 is notched at 12 to engage one end of a pivoted lever 10 carrying a contact 13 which when brought against a contact 14 completes the circuit through lamps 4 in a box sign 3. The current may be supplied by cells 6 or from an external source. A supplementary sign 20 similarly illuminated may be provided, and the advertisements may show at the front, behind, or on both sides of the door. The top of the lever 10 is forked to engage a rocking arm 17 which swings an arrow 18 outwardly when the sign is lit. In a modification the upper end of the lever 10 may pass over and beyond a lamp contact on actuation of the handle S. In a further form the bottom of the lever 10 bears against the end of the bolt 7 and is drawn thereto by a spring.
