The members a are also formed with longitudinal grooves a<1> engaged by the edges b<1> of slides b to which are pivoted the sleeves e through which the arm d passes. The guides a are graduated and are provided with needle points for' securing them to the drawing &c. surface. The outer end of the arm d is slotted at g and formed with a hole h to receive a pencil &c. which can be clamped by a screw k.
