Seed distributers. - The wheeled implement described in the parent Specification is provided with means for delivering the seeds intermittently and with modified means for mounting the container on the wheeled frame. 'The conical outlet member 19 is connected directly to the seed receptacle 8, or by a bayonet joint to an extension of the receptable 8 below the bottom. The slide for regulating the discharge opening in the bottom of the receptacle may be adjustably fixed in position by a screw 23 passing through it and into the member 19. The slide may extend through one side only of the receptacle and may be guided by studs passing through slots. The slide may be controlled from the handle and means may be provided for indicating the effective, size of the outlet. Bearing bosses on the receptacle 8 are rockably and removably mounted in slots 270 in the frame 29, and a stud or projection 390 is engaged by a spring 37, so as to hold a projection 41 on the receptacle against a fixed lug 42. The brush or ejector in the receptacle is intermittently rotated by the engagement of steps or treads 43<a> on a friction wheel 43 on the axle with a friction wheel 15 on the brush spindle. Interchangeable wheels 43 having treads 43a of different lengths may be carried on the axle 30, together with a wheel or roller having a continuous tread. The intermittent movement of the brush results in the seeds being sown in elongated groups with more at the centres of the groups than at the ends. The brush stops delivery when not in motion. The coulter 33 is of elongated V-shape in plan with the sides extending beyond the seed outlet and curved inwards towards the rear. The seeds are covered and the ground levelled by a floating bar 340 suspended by chains 44. Bars 340 of different weights may be used. The receptacle 8 may be adjustable vertically and may be provided with a telescopic discharge tube. Two or more receptacles &c. may be mounted on one wheeled frame, which may be adapted for horse or power traction.
