312,346. Corning Glass Works, (Assignees of Taylor, W. C.). May 26, 1928, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Production of metal.-A batch for producing an opal glass, suitable for making electric lamp bulbs, contains silica, alkali, an alkaline, earth, alumina, boric oxide, zinc oxide, and a fluoride. The alkali content is about 10 per cent, the alumina content is about 8 per cent, the alkaline earth content is about 4 per cent, the boric oxide content exceeds 6 per cent, and the zinc oxide content is not greater than 8 per cent.
