Garment racks.-In a garment rack for a travelling trunk, box or similar receptacle, or for a cupboard or recess, comprising two arcuate or bent members, one of which is adapted to be opened out or raised so that the members are supported substantially parallel to accommodate sliding garment hangers, the inner member or rod k is fixed at both ends to the body of the receptacle or cupboard or in the recess. As shown, the inner arcuate rod k is integral at one end with the post a by which it is fixed to the bottom of the receptacle &c. and at the other end is fixed to the side of the receptacle by a leg d which is parallel to the post a. The outer movable arcuate rod e is jointed at f to the post b which is supported by a stay c and in its unfolded position the outer end of the rod e is supported by a catch h in the lid of the receptacle or the rod may be supported by a movable stay j. The rod e may be arranged to slide in a slot in its post b when folded down into the receptacle &c. and may be arranged to rise automatically when the door of the receptacle, cupboard, &c. is opened; its outer end may slide down in a groove on the inside of the door as the latter is closed.
