Abstract
311,037. Foster, S. Oct. 29, 1928. Valve gear.-In valve gear of the kind comprising face cams on a vertical shaft 1, the shaft is formed with a head 4 to which the cam discs 8, 9 are connected by a pin 16, the top of which is covered by a washer 17. The shaft is provided with a stuffing-box 2 held in position by a cap 2<a> screwed to an extension 2<b> of the casing 3. A ball bearing 5 is fitted under the head 4. Spacing-washers 14, 15 are inserted under the cam discs.
