Abstract

310,584. Sage & Co., Ltd., F., Harris, F. W. H., and Bosker, B. Feb. 10, 1928. Pedestal stands.-In a telescopic pillar for a display stand the telescoping members are held against relative rotation by a rib in the outer member engaging a groove in the inner member, the members being held in adjusted position by a spring pressed catch pivoted to the outer member and selectively engaged with recesses &c., in the inner member. In the construction shown, a short groove k in the outer member a forms an internal rib engaging a groove j in the inner member b, the bent end g of the pivoted catch f engaging notches at the edges of the groove j. The member a may be provided with a terminal cap l formed with a tongue to engage the groove j. The catch may be provided with a pressed out tongue h which bears against the pillar to retain the catch in locking position. The catch is pivoted between lugs of a clip c or between lugs pressed out of the outer member. According to the Provisional Specification the members a, b may be of square section.
