Mouthpieces.-The mouthpiece a of a telephone transmitter is rotatably mounted in the transmitter casing c by a split ring or spring clip c located in a groove d in the extension b of the mouthpiece and adapted to engage the interior of the casing under the action of a spring tongue f which also prevents the entry of foreign material into the telephone casing. As shown the extension b is slotted, but the slots may be omitted and the clip e may be dished so as to exercise a spring action on the surface of the casing c and thereby produce a friction joint between the mouthpiece and the casing. The Provisional Specification describes an arrangement wherein a split ring co-operates with grooves in the mouthpiece and transmitter casing to lock those parts together.
