Abstract
308,695. British Thomson-Houston Co., Ltd., (Assignees of Alexanderson, E. F. W.). March 26, 1928, [Convention date]. Copying-telegraphs.-A copying-telegraph includes means 1, 2 to support or guide a picture or sensitive sheet 3 and a rotatable member 11 with means 5, 7 for projecting light on the sheet.. At the transmitter the reflected light is collected by a lens 16 or 18 also mounted on the rotating hollow shaft 11 and is reflected by prisms 15, 17 through the centre of the shaft and the teeth of a rotating disc 9 to a light sensitive cell 8. At the receiver the cell is replaced by a lightsource, and the interrupting disc and lenses 5. 7 are dispensed with (Fig. 2, not shown). The sheet is fed to the apparatus by endless bands (Fig. 3, not shown). According to modifications : the guides 1, 2 are replaced by a movable support with a T-shaped member moving in a stationary guide (Fig. 4, not shown); the sheet is fed through a semi-cirular slot in the bottom of a containing cabinet (Fig. 5, not shown).
