Abstract

307,271. Avorio, L. Aug. 9, 1928. Parachutes.-The opening and closing of the vent o of a parachute is governed by an elastic ring t, clear of the fabric p of the parachute, and connected to the suspension ropes f thereof. The ring may consist of two rubber tubes or cords, connected together by bands n sewed on a leather strip s. A band is provided corresponding to each rope f, which is tied to the crossing point of the band between the tubes t. Any number of tubes may be used, and they may be placed inside, outside, or at the periphery of the vent.
