307,233. Morrell, W. April 5, 1928. Case-hardening. - A mixture for hardening metals, particularly iron, copper, and brass, consists of rock salt, yellow prussiate of potash, and either naphthalene or camphor or both in about the following proportions : 56 lb. of rock salt, 56 lb. of prussiate, and 7 lb. of naphthalene or of naphthalene and camphor, or 8 1b. of camphor.
