Abstract

Brackets, securing; roller blinds; curtain rods. -An end bracket for supporting a curtain rod and blind roller consists of a projecting flange or flanges adapted to receive the rod and roller, an attaching part situated directly behind the rod and roller and formed with keyhole slots or slots opening into the side of the bracket so that the brackets can be detached from the window frame without the removal of the fixing screws. In the construction shown in Figs. 4, 5, the bracket consists of two projecting flanges 1, 2, connected by an attaching part 3 provided with a keyhole slot 4 and an open slot 6. The outer flange 1 is recessed at 16, the recess being formed with a laterally extending flange 17 to form an extended bearing surface for the one end of the roller which is provided at this end with ratchet wheel, held thereon by a spring washer, engaged by a pawl 18 pivoted on a pin 19 extending between the flanges 1, 2. The outer flange 1 of the bracket, shown in Figs. 7, 8, for the other end of the roller is provided with a pin 11 which enters into a recess in the end of the roller. Thit flange 1 is also provided with an upper projection 13 to retain the operating cord of the roller and a lower projection 12 having an open keyhole slot 15 for guiding the operating cord, the arrangement being such that the cord normally lies at the closed end of the slot. The shorter inner flange 2 of each end bracket is formed with a hole 10 to receive a curtain rod which is provided at one end with a spring pressed plunger. In a modification each bracket has only one projecting flange to support the rod and roller.
