Abstract

Atmospheric gas burners.-In a gas-burner regulator suitable for a lamp, or a laundry iron &c., recirculation; of mixture from a heating- chamber to the mixing-chamber is adjustable with a view to obtaining constancy of operation at varying temperatures of the apparatus. In a lamp burner, Fig. 1, the heating-chamber fitted with a perforated diaphragm 5, has a return connection 10, 8 to the mixing-chamber adjustable by a screw plug 7, which may be solid, or, as shown, hollow for admission of part of the air supply. Fig. 4 shows one application to an iron, 18 being the adjusting plug and 19 the return passage from the heating-chamber 16. In a modified iron a rotary plug-type valve surrounds the gas nipple and controls the passage from the heating chamber.
