Double and multiple hinges. -Pivotallymounted doors, windows and like members a, more particularly for showcases and bookcases, are movable upon roller pivots b coacting with channel guides c having each a downwardly inclined rear end f, a front stop e, and radius rods h, these rods being subject to elastic or resilient influence at one or both ends to ensure full or positive closure and to check the closing movements of the member. As shown, the member a is the door of a showcase, and the resilient means comprise coiled springs k mounted upon one or both pivots of the radius rods that are secured to the door and to the sides of the showcase. To open a door, it is lifted and the rollers forced along the guides c until the door rests in an horizontal position wholly within the case. The application to doors movable into a vertical plane when open is referred to.
