Abstract
305,576. Bouffioux, A. Feb. 7, 1928; [Convention date]. Drawing.-A bearing for a roller of a machine for drawing sheet glass comprises a ring f, Fig. 2, which is screwed to the frame d of the machine, and a sleeve c which screws into the ring. Part of the sleeve c may be removed, as shown in Fig. 1, in order to facilitate inspection and lubrication of the spindle a of the roller. A catch may be provided to engage notches e in the sleeve to prevent it from turning. The gear wheels g which drive the cylinders are bored to fit on to the conical ends of the spindle a, and they are held in place by the heads h of screws. The construction facilitates removal of a cylinder when the spindle has become deformed.
