304,853. Butler, W. H. April 14, 1928. Clamping and guiding flasks.-Flasks comprise inner boxes a, of metal, aligned by means of frames b in which they are clamped. The frames may be of metal or wood with metal corner pieces o and one on each pair carries pins d while the other carries corresponding guides e which are adjusted by and fixed by screws k, h, Fig. 3. The inner boxes are secured in the frames b during moulding by screws c having engaging ends n, Fig. 2, loosely mounted therein to reduce friction. When the mould halves have been assembled the screws c are released and the frames b removed for use with other boxes a. More than two moulds may be superposed should the depth of the casting require it.
