304,535. Tyne Improvement Commissioners, and Ellis, H. April 24, 1928. Buoys.-A mooring buoy comprises an ovoid shell a, a central tube b secured therein by its flanged ends b<1>, steel chafing rings c secured in ends of the tube, a sectional cushion d, of American elm &c., arranged between the upper chafing ring and the shell a, an angle iron ring e enclosing the cushion, and a removable spindle f within the tube the spindle having eyes f<1>, f<2> capable of passing through the tube, and a mooring ring g, and removable shackle h being secured to the eyes and normally holding the spindle within the tube.
