Abstract

304,375. Morton, F. Oct. 21, 1927. Spring floors consist of rectangular glass or ether panels 17 cemented to angle-bar frames, two opposite sides 12 of which bear on parallel joists spring-supported at their ends and consisting of contiguous lengths 1, 2 which break joint in adjacent rows and. are pivotally connected by saddles 5 bearing on springs 7. The flanges of the sides 12 are directed outwards to bear on the joists, and the other two sides 13 have the flanges inwards and webs of adjacent frames bolted or strapped back to back with wood, felt, or other packing 16 between them. The outermost saddles 4, Fig. 6, carry the border framing 19.
